Cats’ Eye View

TGIF!!!!! The weekend is here, and I am ready to have fun…you know the Ozzman loves a party!  But I wanted to stop and take sometime to let you know about what is happening at the APL this weekend!

The APL is always working hard to get adoptable animals in amazing homes as fast as we can!  I’d personally like to add that they are pretty darned good at it, too!  But sometimes animals come into the APL faster then the APL can adopt them out, and then we get too crowded, which is very stressful for our feline friends. Right now that is what is happening to our beloved felines!  The APL needs to find homes for hundreds of cats…fast! 

As some of life’s best lessons come from our “elders.” (for example, I have learned lots from Kobe but I would not admit it, especially in writing!) and to celebrate Father’s Day and the importance of having an adult role model, this Father’s Day weekend the APL will offer reduced feline adoption fees!

On Saturday, June 19th, and Sunday, June 20th only, all adult cats aged 5 months and older may be adopted for only $20 and kittens under 5 months for $40.  On top of that, the adoption fee for taking home a second adult “mentor” cat will be only $10.  (Regular adoption fees are $95 for kittens, $45 for adult cats, and $30 for senior cats.)

If you are looking for a feline companion in your life, stop by the APL and adopt a cat—or two!  (Ok, ok, ok, you can adopt a dog if you choose!!! They need loving homes too!) 

Make sure you give me a wave when you’re walking by the administrative offices!  I’m usually looking out the window, keeping an eye on what’s going on out there!
